Tailwind Helsinki Horizon 2030

Tailwind Helsinki Horizon 2030 –Tailwind Helsinki Horizon 2030 exhibition container presents Helsinki’s future waterfront developments in front of the Cable Factory during the following events: Helsinki Design Week, OpenHouseHelsinki and Runokuu. In June, the exhibition container was on exhibit at the London Festival of Architecture.

The Tailwind exhibition of the city planning department was designed by Pure Design in a genuine marine container. Its internal walls have been lined with an aerial photo of Helsinki, on which miniature models of Kalasatama, Länsisatama and Kruunuvuorenranta have been placed using 3D printing techniques. One of the side walls of the container has a video presentation about the history, current state of the areas as well as future plans.

The container is tweaked with a wooden patio and a canopy suspended by a ten-metre mast. The theme of the exhibition is the same as the one in the Tailwind exhibition in Laituri exhibition room, which closed on 4 September 2010.

Exhibition container on Ruoholahti Cable Square, open Sat-Sun 28–29 August 12 noon–4 p.m. and Wed–Fri 1–3 September 12 noon–6 p.m.
