Loft – mobile kitchen installation wall
The Open House model suite and the Loft wall solution, both designed by Pure Design for Puustelli, follow open construction principles. They make it possible to easily modify the home for different lifestyles and circumstances. The intermediary walls can be built on new or existing floors. The walls may contain floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, which help transform living spaces.
Designed under the leadership of Esa Vesmanen, the suite was based on the Elements of Kitchen Project funded by Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation TEKES in 2004–2006. The project explored the evolution of kitchen and living spaces.
As a result of the design, new living solutions were created in the Matinkylä district in Espoo, Finland. The companies involved in the project were Electrolux, Franke Finland, Puustelli, Sato-Rakennuttajat and Uponor.
